A mix of French and Irish, this brie covered in a Guinness batter is not for the faint of heart.
Guinness Fried Brie
- 8 oz La Bonne Vie Brie
- 1 cup of All Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Corn Starch
- 1 1/2 cup of Guinness Beer 2 oz Peach Chutney
Pre heat the frying Oil 375 F.
Whisk the Flour and cornstarch into the chilled Guinness, keep stirring to avoid lumps when the batter is smooth.
Hold the batter on ice until its time to fry.
Chill the brie pieces nearly frozen, dust the brie pieces in flour followed by a dip into the batter.
Place into the hot oil use a slotted spoon to remove from the oil when golden brown.
Place on a paper towel to absorb the extra oil.
Serve with Peach chutney.
