The tart cherries and creamy goat cheese combine to make a dessert that is perfect for the sweet and sour lovers.

Cherry Goat Cheese CheesecakeCherry Cheesecake La Bonne Vie 2


  • 2 cups Ginger Snaps crumbs
  • 6 tbs. Butter Melted
  • 1/2 tsp. Cardamom
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • Pinch of Sea Salt

Goat Cheese Filling:

  • 16 oz Cream Cheese room temperature
  • 12 oz Cherry Goat Cheese
  • 12 oz Crème Fraiche
  • 4 Eggs 1 cup Sugar
  • 1.5 Tbs Corn Starch
  • 2 tsp.

Vanilla Extract Cherry Compote:

  • 14 oz Dried Cherries
  • 1 1/2cup of Apple Juice
  • 1 tbs Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Rum
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Zest


Pre Heat the oven 350F

Pulse the Ginger Snaps in a food processor to crumbs. Mix with the melted butter Cardamom, Salt, and Sugar Line the spring form with the crumb mixture.

Mix the cream cheese, goat cheese, crème fraiche until smooth using a paddle in the mixer, mix the sugar with the Corn Starch and add to the mixture, slowly add the eggs one at the time. Add the vanilla and mix well.

Pour the mixture into the lined pan and bake at 350F for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Allow cheesecake to cool and prepare cherry compote. 

Cherry Compote:

Simmer the Apple Juice, Lemon Juice, and Sugar with the Lemon zest, add the Cherries and Rum simmer until the cherry plum cool and serve at room temperature over the Cheese Cake.

Serve Cheesecake with Cherry compote.
